The Blackhawks will play the very boring Nashville Predators for the third time this season. The good news is that the Blackhawks will get another easy two points while the lineup is less than ideal due to injuries.
- I noted that Brent Seabrook could play tonight after he attended practice yesterday, and he will be in the lineup for tonight’s match-up. Duncan Keith should be thrilled with Seabrook’s return to his side and rid himself of Brent Sopel.
- Jonathan Toews won’t play. Instead of recalling Jake Dowell as the organization has done in the last two games, they are opting to use Jordan Hendy as a winger on the fourth line. It’s frustrating as a fan to watch the organization resort to starting a defenseman up front in order to save cap-space.
- Getting the nod in net will be Cristobal Huet, so Antti Niemi will get the start tomorrow when the Blackhawks host the Montreal Canadiens at home. Huet has owned the Predators winning both games he started against the Central Division. This will be his third consecutive game, and another opportunity against a weaker team.
